eVolo Skyscraper 10 International Competition, February 2010. The annual Skyscraper competition organized by eVolo is a well recognized and publicized architectural competition. The idea of 'Coil' on a large scale was used to create a vertical city including mass transit within the coil itself.

2009

d3 natural systems International Competition, May 2009. The competition, set up by d3, asked to explore nature-based influences in architecture, interiors, and designed objects. The entry was based on research and a daring look into the future of architecture. The natural structure of tumble weed was merged with a desire to create an architectural form that offers mobile temporary shelter in areas of extreme climate change.

Inter Sections Grand Concourse beyond 100 International Competition, April 2009. The Grand Concourse in the Bronx, New York competition was organized by the Bronx Museum with the Design Trust for Public Space. The entry looked at connection and discovery. Using the natural environment as a tool to connect the existing architecture and community to the Grand Concourse in the Bronx.

eVolo Skyscraper 09
International Competition, February 2009. The annual Skyscraper competition organized by eVolo is a well recognized and publicized architectural competition. The entry for 2009 looked at the ideas of organic growth using recycled materials, a living breathing skyscraper that has no boundaries to its form. A naturally occurring organic structure that binds man-made waste with organic growth this new type of skyscraper would offer a sustainable habitat for wildlife and humankind alike.

2008
Union Station 2020 International Competition in Chicago, October 2008. A Crossroads for the High-Speed Rail City, set up and run by the Chicago Architectural Club for the Burnham Prize 2008. The entry looked at the ideas of movement, change, connection and interaction.

2008
Reinventing Grand Army Plaza International Competition in Brooklyn, New York, April 2008. Set up by the Design Trust for Public Space, in partnership with the Grand Army Plaza Coalition. The entry tackled the issues of connection and sense of place. Through landscaping and the introduction of sustainable follies the design reconnected the Plaza back to the local area and nearby Prospect Park.

The White House Redux International Competition in Washington DC, April 2008, (on occasion of the election of the 44th President of the United States of America). Set up by Storefront for Art and Architecture in association with Control Group. The entry looked at sustainable ideas and the relationship between the built and natural environments.

2003
Urban Fence Design National Competition in Chatham, Kent, UK, July 2003. Set up by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and managed by The Kent Architecture Centre. The fence is to be built, as part of the redevelopment, at Chatham Dockyards in Chatham, Kent. The winning entry focused on the movement of the site, interacting with the fence through light and color.
